Send off the summer in style with these Labor Day Weekend events.

Labor Day weekend signals the end of the Shore season so soak up every last minute of summer fun at these seaside events.

Yappy Hour-Asbury Park

Aug 30-Sept 2: Show some love to your four-legged friends on the Wonder Bar patio, a fenced area with dog swimming pools. Thursday-Sunday are all-sized dog days from noon-8 pm. Check the Wonder Bar Yappy Hour Facebook page for weather and other updates. There’s a $5 entrance fee on Saturday and Sunday to benefit Asbury Boardwalk Rescue.


Aug 31-Sept 1: Take flight at the Naval Air Station Wildwood’s annual Airfest. Schedule a personal flight in one of the aircraft, enjoy the food vendors, listen to live music and more.

Farewell to Summer Weekend-Atlantic City

Aug 31-Sept 2: The party doesn’t stop all Labor Day weekend long at Kennedy Plaza, in front of Boardwalk Hall. As part of the Summer Concert Series, there will be entertainment Friday-Sunday with a BBQ cookout and kid’s activities on Saturday. Bring your lawn chair! Friday: dueling pianos; 5-9 pm. Saturday: rock, pop and country bands, 1-9 pm. Sunday: bluegrass, 2-6 pm.

Sept 1: Celebrate everyone’s favorite fruit of summer at Wilbraham Park. There will be plenty of craft and food vendors. (Raindate:  Sept 2)

Monmouth Park Racetrack’s BBQ & Craft Beer Festival

Sept 1-3: At Monmouth Park Racetrack’s BBQ & Craft Beer Festival, indulge in pulled pork, ribs and brisket, then wash it all down with brews from the beer garden.

Labor Day Race-Ocean City 

Sept 3: Get some exercise in during the 5 Mile Run and 1 Mile Run/Walk on Labor Day Morning.  The race starts at 9 am on the 23rd Street Beach. After the race, head to the Labor Day Barbecue. All OCNJ Race Events Benefit Ocean City Recreation Scholarships & Programs. $20-$30 to enter; $10 for children 14 and under.
