About Richard A. Newman

With advanced training in craniofacial and surgical orthodontics, this board-certified orthodontist meticulously balances science with art, using cutting-edge techniques tailored to each patient’s specific condition.
Bringing extensive clinical experience to both children and adults, Dr. Newman is an Invisalign® Premier Provider and continually strives to improve technology and tools through innovation and research. He and his staff have created a family atmosphere that is friendly and inviting. “My team and I love what we do every day,” he says.
A graduate of UMDNJ, now Rutgers Dental School, Dr. Newman received his orthodontic training at Columbia University. He serves as chief orthodontist at the New Jersey Institute for Craniofacial Surgery at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and is part of an interdisciplinary team there that treats highly complex cases, including cleft lip and palate.
Dr. Newman feels honored to be nominated by his peers as a New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist for the seventh time. “I love building lifelong relationships with our patients and their families,” he says.
