About Aditya Chand Mehra
Dr. Aditya Mehra is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology, and interventional cardiology. He offers a comprehensive gamut of cardiovascular care, including stress tests, echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, vascular studies, and pacemaker interrogations. He also provides interventional cardiology care at hospitals, performing coronary and peripheral interventional procedures and structural heart procedures.
Alongside founding member Dr. Paul Kate, interventionalist Dr. Muhammad Raza, and physician assistant Evan Cardin, Dr. Mehra has spent the past 30 years developing long-term relationships with his patients at Cardiology Associates of Ocean County.
The practice is one of a few in New Jersey to offer cardiac PET imaging for nuclear stress tests, which increases the probability of detecting coronary disease and decreases the chance of false positives. As director of cardiogenic shock at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Dr. Mehra treats critically ill hospital patients by using cutting-edge mechanical support devices. He also cares for patients with peripheral arterial disease as director of the Vascular Institute at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus.
Dr. Mehra is principal investigator for various clinical trials, has published articles in top medical journals, and speaks at cardiology conferences. He is a fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and is a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is also an assistant professor of medicine at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and invites residents to rotate through his practice.
