“When treating patients with potentially blinding conditions, I bring empathy along with my surgical skills,” says Dr. Danielle Strauss, a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in diseases of the retina and vitreous humor.

A four-time New Jersey Monthly Top Doctor, she treats macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and macular holes. As part of the Phillips and Omni Eye Center, Dr. Strauss works with surgeons who have expertise in other subspecialties of ophthalmology. “Together, we deliver 360-degree care for even the most complex problems,” she says.

Dr. Strauss completed her ophthalmology residency at NYU Langone Medical Center, followed by a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. She is affiliated with the Clara Maass Medical Center, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, and Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital.
