At the neurosurgery office Dr. Lipani founded in 2012, he practices medicine the old-fashioned way—by offering the highest-quality care and being there 24/7 for patients and their families. “My patients are dealing with serious spinal conditions,” he says. “They arrive frightened and concerned, and deserve expert care and attention.”

Dr. Lipani thoroughly researches the best course of treatment in each case. When surgery is required, he spends time preparing patients and remains available around-the-clock via text, e-mail, or cell. “My patients are not rushed through their treatment,” he says.

Dr. Lipani specializes in revision spine surgery for patients who are often turned away by other practices. Revision spine surgery is considered when prior surgery fails to correct the existing problem or when a new problem occurs after surgery. “A great surgical result begins with making an accurate diagnosis and knowing how to fix it,” says Dr Lipani.

Dr. Lipani trained in neurosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed fellowships at NYU and Stanford University, holds a PhD in neuroscience and several U.S. patents involving the surgical treatment of chronic discogenic back pain.

He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
