About Ragui W. Sadek

Dr. Ragui Sadek is a board-certified general surgeon who performs robotic and laparoscopic revisional, complex, and minimally invasive procedures. He is chief of bariatric surgery at RWJBarnabas Health system. “I’m all about curing disease,” he says. “After having performed more than 10,000 surgeries, I love feeling that I played a part in changing the lives of thousands of people.”
In practice for 19 years, Dr. Sadek is currently chief of bariatric surgery for the entire RWJBarnabas Health system and directs the adolescent Bariatric Surgery Program at Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital. He also takes mentoring and training future surgeons seriously, as a way to help expand the number of quality results for patients.
