About Ragui W. Sadek
One of the area’s premier bariatric surgeons, Dr. Ragui Sadek performs technically demanding laparoscopic and bariatric procedures utilizing state-of-the-art technology. With fellowship training in both laparoscopic/bariatric surgery and surgical trauma/critical care, he is equipped to safely perform complicated procedures for patients who may be turned away by other practices.
A board-certified surgeon, Dr. Sadek serves as director of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and as director of the Adolescent Metabolic and Bariatric Program at Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital.
He also serves as assistant clinical professor at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. “By teaching upcoming surgeons, I can play a role in shaping the future of medicine,” he says. He lectures nationally and internationally.
For the past ten years, Dr. Sadek’s group has helped people of all ages overcome longstanding illnesses and embark on healthy lives. This surgeon and his partners perform more than 1,000 complex procedures annually with very few post-surgery complications. They are pioneers in enhanced recovery protocols, allowing patients to resume their lives more quickly after surgery.
