“Continually improving quality and access to health care has been a lifelong career goal,” says Dr. Robert Rubino, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist in practice for more than 30 years. Dr. Rubino founded Rubino OB/GYN Group, now a part of Axia Women’s Health. His practice comprises 14 physicians, including Drs. Catherine Yu and Jessy Clayton, who joined this past summer, and Drs. Richard Luciani and Marshall Pollack—veterans in OB/GYN health care—who also recently joined the team.

“We make it easy for women to get all their OB/GYN health-care needs met under one practice, without referrals or visits to other offices,” says Dr. Rubino. In fact, the Rubino Group is one of the few OB/GYN practices in northern New Jersey that offers a full-service on-site laboratory, in-house 3-D and 4-D ultrasounds, and a mammography center that now provides diagnostic mammograms, which more closely examine breast tissue after an initial screening. The group offers remote visits for menstrual disorders, infertility issues, and routine concerns, depending on a patient’s medical history. He performs in the office uterine cryoablations, operative hysteroscopy, and leep procedures.

An author of several clinical research studies, Dr. Rubino is most recently engaged in an ongoing postpartum depression study. He partners with Axia to conduct clinical trials and is a member of Axia’s Research and Innovation Board. He also is on the board of directors at University Hospital in Newark.

The Rubino group has state-of-the art offices in West Orange, Summit, Warren, Clark, and Bayonne. In addition, the Madison office has relocated to Florham Park.
