About Steve J. Paragioudakis
Leading-edge treatment is the cornerstone of this comprehensive spine care practice led by board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons Dr. Marc Menkowitz and Dr. Steve Paragioudakis. With more than 37 years of clinical expertise in helping people return to active and fulfilling lifestyles, these physicians offer the full range of diagnostics, complex revision surgery, and minimally invasive solutions for back pain and spine disorders. They have also become leading experts in the field of robotic spinal surgery.
“Our mission is to provide effective and compassionate care for every patient,” says Dr. Paragioudakis. “Understanding the root cause of a patient’s condition is key to creating an individualized treatment plan with optimal results.”
The practice specializes in congenital, acute, and chronic disorders of the spine, including sprains and strains, degenerative disc disease, disc herniation, trauma, sports-related injuries, failed back surgery, tumors, infections, and scoliosis. “We are at the forefront of minimally invasive surgical techniques, and we educate our patients about their condition and talk with them about their options,” says Dr. Menkowitz, noting that the practice also has expertise in revision spinal surgery and provides non-spine-related orthopedic care.
Drs. Menkowitz and Paragioudakis are affiliate faculty members at Rutgers RWJ Medical School. Dr. Paragioudakis also leads the orthopedic surgery residency program at Monmouth Medical Center, where Dr. Menkowitz serves on the academics committee.
