Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon is once again holding its popular long-running Oktoberfest celebration for the 36th year in a row on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20.
Restructured to accommodate updated social distancing guidelines and health and safety protocols, admittance at this year’s Oktoberfest will come in the form of groups of up to 8 guests, who can purchase a table at the event for $1,000. All groups will receive an all-access pass to the event with their purchase, which includes a Bavarian Feast and rides on the Mountain Creek Sky Ride and Mountain Coaster. In addition to the unlimited food and beverage offerings at Mountain Creek included with admission, tickets also provide a front-row seat to lawn games, musical entertainment and more.
The main feast, which will be served at 3 pm on both Saturday and Sunday and is included with the price of the table, includes classic favorites such as sauerbraten, roast chicken, potato pancakes with apple sauce & sour cream, braised red cabbage, German potato salad and more. In addition to the feast, admission grants guests all-you-can-eat trips across the Great Lawn, providing access to the German Pretzel station, corn and pickles and, of course, dessert! Additionally, Mountain Creek will be offering a variety of the best German beers available for those who purchase tables, including exclusive pours that are only found once a year at Oktoberfest. Games and events in the activity ring will include stein holding, wife carrying, lumberjack and pie eating contests, a hay bale and bratwurst toss and more.
