The results of our 26th Annual Readers’ Choice Restaurant Poll were tabulated by PricewaterhouseCoopers in Florham Park. The winning restaurant in each region received the majority vote in its category; in some cases there were ties. We have also added our critics’ picks. All readers who submitted a ballot became eligible to win dinner for two in our random drawing. This year’s winner is John Kaplow of Asbury Park. He will receive a gift certificate to Nicholas in Red Bank, the Best of the Best poll winner in Kaplow’s region,

Chez Catherine

Every trip to Chez Catherine is like a wonderful vacation. Every guest is treated like a family member.

Brothers Pizza

The critic’s choice for pizza was Brothers Pizza in Bedminster is a COMPLETE JOKE!! Talk about lousy pizza, lousy service, and an all around lousy time. The "critic" who chose this establishment should be reprimanded. NJ is known for their pizza and Brothers Pizza is no where on the level of good Jersey pizza. I used to follow the "critic’s choice" but now I am certain that your "critic" needs their head examined or their bank account checked for being paid off!! NJ Monthly you should be embarrassed!!!

Chez Catherine

I am delighted to see both the readers and critics select Chez Catherine as a top pick. After years of dining there for both lunches and dinners, I have never once been disappointed in the cuisine, service or ambience. Didi and team are the best of the best.

Undici in Rumson

I believe that Undici in Rumson has the best Italian food in all of New Jersey. The food is authentic and the atmosphere is Tuscan. I really felt like I was back in Italy when I dined there. Undici is truly a unique experience that anyone from the Shore points should try.

Most Romantic

I agree that Highlawn Pavilion is very romantic, but The Chart House in Weehawken may be just as romantic. And the food was excellent at both places.

A hidden treasure of exquisite Italian Foods

We were invited by friends to dine at Albivi Restaurant, the place is beautifully decorated, clean,an outdoor dining experience that was awesome! Though all was beautiful it was still way casual to expect the food that was to be given to us. I have eaten at the best, high end restaurants in Manhatten, Philadelphia etc...this place by far beats any place with white glove service,Albivi was casual with high end food. We have since returned for almost a year and have never had a bad meal. Congratualtions to the owners who have this fine establishment!

Where is North Jersey?!

Every true North Jersey resident knows that anything outside of Bergen County is considered"South" Jersey...I see very little by way of true "North" Jersey restaurants in the top picks. You’re missing some greats...Chapala Grill for Mexican in Bergenfield, Harvest in Closter for French, Amarone in Teaneck or E&V in Paterson for Italian,Kinchleys on Franklin Turnpike for thin crust pizza,Jerry’s in Englewood for Italian specialty and deli, and still homemade ice cream...Bischoffs in Teaneck. Maybe some people should step outside of Montclair once in a while...based on the compiled list, Montclair seems to be the only town people eat in!!

I agree with the above comment, Albivi for sure perfection!

I owned 2 restaurants in NY and know every aspect of the business & food quality. If this place were in NY the owners would be millionairs!!! Great Atmosphere dining al fresco felt like I was inTuscany. Food was perfection and prices, well like I said, if in NY prices would double, in my opinion these prices were lower than most bad italian restaurants I’ve tried. I had a pasta qui Sarde just like my mom used to make, Everything about this place was stellar!
