Style: Classic Shore pub with ample dining room and bar area with tables. Sports themed, but no blaring sound system or sea of flashing flat-screens to disturb your dining.

Don’t Miss: Seafood abounds. The seafood quesadilla platter ($17) is loaded with shrimp, scallops, crabmeat, peppers and onions, and comes with sides of pinto beans and rice. It’s a meal in itself. Kubel’s crab pie ($22), another solid choice, is like a chicken pot pie but with crabmeat and diced vegetables in a sherry cream sauce. Inside the stuffed shrimp ($22) you’ll find lots of crab Imperial; a nice buerre blanc finishes the dish. Not into seafood? Go with barbecued baby back ribs ($26) or the New York strip steak ($28). All entrées come with choice of baked or mashed potato or fries. The children’s menu includes staples like grilled cheese ($6), chicken tenders ($7) and linguini and meatballs ($7).

Heads Up: Happy Hour, 4-8 pm every day, offers $6 appetizers and daily specials as well as discounts on drinks.

The Scoop: Kubel’s Too is the second Kubel’s on Long Beach Island. The owners of the original, in Barnegat Light, added the second location in 1998. Kubel’s Too has a liquor store open 9 am-10 pm.
