APEM Creamery is tipping its hat to The Sopranos with flavors such as Richie Aprile’s Leather Jacket (salted chocolate caramel), The Guy Was an Interior Decorator (pine nuts, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt), Ginny Sack’s Secret Stash (chocolate with candy), Johnnycakes (lemon buttermilk cornbread with blueberries), Gabagool (strawberry coconut) and more. The creamery opens at 12:30 pm, Thursday-Sunday.

Private Dinner, ESO Artisanal Pasta • Morristown

August 11 & 19

ESO Artisanal Pasta is hosting two private dinners (only 12 guests each) to display its culinary talents beyond fresh pasta. Joined by Chefs Russell Farr, Kristina Gambarian and AJ Sankofa, the team is offering six courses. The dinner includes oysters, summer squash, cucumber salad, shrimp cappellacci, mint panna cotta and more. It is taking place at an upscale secret location and tickets are $175 per person.

Seltzerland, ShoreTown Ballpark • Lakewood

August 13

This hard seltzer event is making its first appearance at the Shore. Guests can sample more than 100 different hard seltzer brands, including Mike’s Hard, White Claw, Vizzy and more. Tickets are $29 for general admission and $49 for VIP, which includes early access, a full can of hard seltzer, a special cocktail and a commemorative tasting cup. Sessions are from 1:30-4 pm and 5:30-8 pm.

Corn, Tomato & Beer Festival • Flemington

August 13, noon-8pm

Celebrate the Garden State’s favorite produce—plus beer!—at this fifth annual festival. The event offers farm-to-table corn and tomato dishes prepared by local restaurants and farmers. The beer garden features 10 Jersey craft breweries. Live music, crafts for kids and artisan vendors are part of the festival, too.

Chester Food Truck Festival • Chester

August 13, 10 am-6 pm

More than 20 gourmet food trucks, plus a beer garden with sangria and margaritas, are benefiting the Chester First Aid Squad. Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable items to donate to support the local food pantry. Admission $5.

Demarest Wine Festival • Demarest

August 13 & 14, 12-6 pm

Enjoy a weekend sipping vintages from top wineries in Jersey. Admission includes a wine glass and tastings from Villari Vineyards, DiMatteo Winery, Villa Milagro Vineyards and Valenzano Family Winery. Both days include entertainment by Kover Up, as well as a retail market with fresh baked goods, prepared foods, salads, local produce and more. Tickets $10 per person.

Surf & Turf Seafood Festival, Monmouth Park • Oceanport

August 13 & 14

This Shore festival at the horse racing track features nearly 20 favorite New Jersey seafood and dining establishments. Vendors include Cousins Maine Lobster, Sherri’s Crab Cakes, Highway to Ohana, Wild Bill’s Old Fashioned Soda and more. The two-day festival includes live music and family-friendly activities. General admission is $6; the first horse race goes off at 12:15 pm.

Head to Salt Water Market on the third of each month for a wine and cheese tasting hosted by the market’s sommelier. Guests can experience nine wines paired with cheeses from around the world. Tickets are $45 per person.

Vegan BBQ Dinner, Long Branch

August 25, 6 pm

Enjoy a pre-fixe vegan dinner presented by The Fox and The Beast at the Whitechapel Projects. The event takes place under the stars; guests are encouraged to bring along their furry friends. Desserts from Molly Mack Vegan Bakery are being offered. The event is $90 per person and takes place rain or shine.

Winemaker Justin Neufeld is heading to Rumson for a special wine dinner. Owner of JB Neufeld wines, Neufeld is hosting a five-course dinner with a menu crafted by Chef David Burke. Comedy Night, The Goat by David Burke • Union Beach

The Goat brings guffaws to the dining room. Comedians Joseph Anthony and Rob Epple are taking the stage at the restaurant’s Chandelier Supper Club at 8:30 pm. Upon arrival, guests can enjoy a cash bar and passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a three-course prix fixe dinner. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and dinner starts at 7 pm. $65+ per person.

Wine Mixer, Alba Vineyard • Village of Finesville, Milford

August 27, 3-7 pm

Stroll the beautiful grounds of Alba Vineyard while sampling delicious food and wine. Throughout, guests can talk with the winemaking team and visit four stations around the vineyard. Each one is offering a glass of wine paired with small bites, including mini crabcakes, meatballs, crostini and more. $70 per person; walk-ins welcome.

Food Truck Festival, Mahwah Municipal Building • Mahwah

August 28, 12-7 pm

Enjoy a day of edible options at the fourth annual Mahwah food truck festival. The event includes live music all day and a larger beer garden than the town has put together in the past, including ciders, seltzers, beer and more. Food truck vendors Coney Island Wood-Fired Pizza, Mason Jar, Empanada Mania, Clyde’s Homemade Italian Ice and more are attending. Admission is free.

Farmers Market • Paramus

Sundays, 9 am- 2 pm

Stop by the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall for an array of fresh produce, snacks, crafts and more. Every Sunday, Paramus hosts a farmers’ market with over 20 food vendors, food trucks, a car meet-up and activities for kids. NJ Exotic Pets is hosting a live animal presentation on August 21, while Oceans Rocks is offering an interactive experience on August 28.

Community Farmers’ Market • West Windsor

The 19th annual market in West Windsor is held every Saturday from 9 am-1 pm. Shoppers can find fresh pastas, chocolates, meat, poultry, beer, jams, Jersey Fresh produce and more. Food trucks serve crepes, fresh juices, sandwiches and vegan options. The market is held at the southbound side of the Princeton Junction train station at the Vaughn commuter lot.
