Chip City, Ridgewood

The Ridgewood outpost of New York City cookie chain Chip City is now open. The spot, which recently opened shops in Newark and Hoboken, offers a rotating menu of cookies each week, such as coffee crumb cake and blueberry cheesecake. Other staples, like chocolate chip and cookies and cream, stay on the menu.

Cornbread Farm to Soul, Montclair 

This fast-casual, natural soul food chain is set to open in Montclair. The new location is “coming soon,” according to the restaurant’s Instagram page. Cornbread Farm to Soul already has locations in Maplewood, Newark and Brooklyn. Ingredients are sourced from local farmers and stores to create dishes like fried chicken, wings, ribs and, of course, cornbread. Catering is also available.
