Angelo Seafood Market, Hoboken

The team behind the Hoboken cocktail bar and seafood restaurant Stingray Lounge recently opened their newest endeavor. Angelo Seafood Market is a two-story market with a raw bar and limited seating on its lower level. Products are locally and sustainably sourced; there are both fresh and pre-packaged items to choose from. Menu items include oysters, clams, lobster rolls, soups and salad.

Maroons Creamery, Ridgewood & Hoboken

Soft serve and hand-scooped ice cream, innovative sundaes and boba teas are sold at both locations of this new creamery. Specialty treats include an Earl Grey float (made with ube ice cream, Earl Grey tea, boba pearls, brown sugar syrup and a maple leaf cookie), the “Choco Burg” sundae (made with chocolate soft serve, Cookie Crisp cereal, chocolate syrup and a chocolate straw), guava cheesecake ice cream, and matcha bubble tea.

Christo’s Wake and Steak, Bloomfield

This new cheesesteak joint specializes in a variety of steak and breakfast sandwiches. The “old school” cheesesteak comes with Cheez Whiz and fried onions; the “new school” cheesesteak puts Cooper American cheese and fried onions on a seeded roll. Also on the menu: Buffalo chicken cheesesteaks, North Jersey-style sloppy Joes and breakfast sandwiches on kaiser rolls. Christo’s is open daily, from 7 am to 3 pm—or until items are sold out.

Pastrami House Deli, Morristown

New Providence’s fan-favorite Jewish-style deli recently opened a location in Morristown. The menu is packed with breakfast delights—bagels and spreads, egg sandwiches, omelets—and deli sandwich classics: hot pastrami on rye, cold turkey clubs, roast beef on sub rolls. Latkes, stuffed knishes, fried pickles, soups, burgers, wraps, salads and catering platters are also available.

Ryfe Bar & Restaurant, Moorestown

Ryfe Bar and Restaurant is celebrating its grand opening this weekend at the Moorestown Mall. The eatery originally opened in Atlantic City in 2020; this is its second location. The menu consists of plenty of seafood dishes, steak entrées, burgers, salads and shareable dishes, plus handcrafted cocktails, drafts and wines. Happy hour is daily at the bar, 3-6 pm.
