Milagros, Parsippany

Decorated with vibrant colors and bright lights, this Mexican spot opened its doors last month. Milagros offers an extensive menu with favorites like ceviche, empanadas, fish tacos, carnitas, passion fruit tres leches, flan and more. The drink menu is loaded, from tequila and beer to wine and signature cocktails. It also features specialties like the Mayan (Patrón silver, Chinola passion fruit liqueur, lime, French vanilla), spicy palomas and the spicy bebe (Don Julio, blood orange juice, jalapeño agave and a tajin rim).

Gencarelli’s Pizza, Little Falls

Hot antipasto, lasagna rolls, pizza fries, gnocchi and subs are on the menu. As for pizza, you can order deep-dish, cauliflower-crust and gluten-free pies; fun options include stuffed pizza, puttanesca (Sicilian pizza with anchovies, olives, artichokes and no cheese) and a pie topped with rigatoni vodka.

Wonton Guy, Edison

Calling all wonton fans! This new spot opened in November. Wonton options include brisket, shrimp and veggies. Lo mein, noodle soups, dumplings, beef brisket, fried fish skin and other specialties are also on the menu.

Mauka Indian Cuisine, Eatontown

This family-owned eatery offers dishes made with in-house spices and recipes, including pani poori, chicken tikka, vegetable samosas, butter chicken and lamb vindaloo. Each meal includes a house-made naan. The restaurant also offers a daily lunch special: a 10-item Thali platter, served from noon to 3 pm.
