Mount Laurel native George Reinas is arguably the man-to-beat on this season of Top Shot, the History Channel’s hit reality marksman competition where 16 professional and amateur shooters aim for a $100,000 prize and bragging rights.
Over the past 11 weeks, the contestants have squared off in a myriad of challenges from hurling tomahawks at an oversized tic-tac-toe board to shooting a Glock G17, a popular law-enforcement pistol, at balloons while hanging from a 125-foot crane.
Versatility, speed and accuracy are the keys to success in this game, and Reinas, a 26-year-old U.S. Air Force sniper, has proven to be all three, most notably in Episode 9 when he was the only competitor to hit a target 1,000 yards away in one shot with the monstrous Barrett 82A1 .50, a sniper rifle.
Tune in to the finale this Tuesday (April 26) at 10 pm to watch Reinas, a graduate of Cinnaminson High School, compete in a head-to-head course with multiple shooting stations, where he’ll need to draw on skills he learned throughout the season—and do so faster than his three competitors.
