Gotta Have It

Shopping a home is easier than ever.

Overstuffed closets and nothing to wear? It’s the biggest mistake women make. We buy a great blouse, a stunning dress, and then never wear it because it doesn’t quite fit, or because we don’t have the right shoes, the right pants, the right belt to go with it.

“Most women would rather spend $200 four times a month than spend $800 on a pair of shoes that will change everything they own,” says Sara Beth, personal stylist to the rescue.

Before you dismiss the notion of using a stylist—I’m not a celebrity, you think—Sara begs to differ. “Everybody is a celebrity,” she says in touting the new “Coco To Go” in-home shopping service offered by CoCo Pari in Red Bank (they also have a shop in Deal). Sign up and she will come to your home, analyze your stuff, recommend what needs to go, and put together outfits. She’ll return with clothes from the store that really fit you—and your lifestyle. The service is available throughout New Jersey and is free—you pay just for the clothes you buy.

It’s not What Not to Wear, says Sara. “It’s what to wear.” Sara will even photograph outfits for you so you can catalog how to match or accessorize your wardrobe.

CoCo Pari has developed a reputation for its South Beach attitude and hip fashions (Jimmy Choo, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, M Missoni, Catherine Malandrino), but Sara stresses that fashion comes in many forms. Yes, women want to look beautiful, but they also live in the real world. “Life is not a runway,” she says. “What the models wear is not what women wear.”—Teresa Politano
