The online seminar (to be held at 9 am on March 23) is intended to help businesses understand how they can tap into the pool of available interns at Rutgers-Camden.
The seminar has two goals. The first is to get businesses the right interns for the right opportunities. “The sky is the limit,” says Jim Marino, director of the Rutgers-Camden Career Center. “If an employer has an internship available, we can definitely market the internship and deliver candidates.”
The second goal is to encourage internships that will give students valuable work experiences within a formalized program where they can earn class credit—and maybe even get paid.
“Our Career Center and academic departments promote the importance of internships to students so more and more students are taking advantage of them, knowing that they make a difference when marketing themselves for full-time positions,” says Marino.
To participate in the online seminar, you just need a computer or smart phone with a web connection and a speaker. For information, contact the Rutgers-Camden Career Center at 856-225-1766 or [email protected].
