Primary Election Round-Up: Murphy, Guadagno Win Party Nominations

Democrat Phil Murphy and Republican Kim Guadagno will square off in the gubernatorial election this November.

In results surprising to no one, Democrat Phil Murphy and Republican Kim Guadagno clinched their respective party nominations in the gubernatorial primary elections Tuesday, and will square off in the general election this November. Their victories seemed a foregone conclusion and did little to drum up excitement at the polls; a measly 13 percent of registered voters came out to vote.
