Hours: Mon-Thurs, 11 am-9 pm; Fri and Sat, 11 am-10 pm; Sun, 11 am-8 pm.
Price: $$
Style: Small, hip spot with brightly painted walls and minimalist decor. Local art decorates the walls—you can buy a painting after you finish your enchiladas.
Don’t Miss: Tres salsa ($9) is a smart place to start. A trio of mango, tomatillo and grilled pineapple salsa is served with fresh, homemade tortilla shells. (The tomatillo salsa is great with the complimentary chips.) If you’re looking for something a little more traditional, try nachos Segundo ($13)— baked tortillas piled high with roasted corn, grilled jalapeños, pico de gallo, guacamole, spiced black beans and cheddar jack cheese. The fiery skirt steak fajitas ($18), served with poblano peppers and cilantro-lime texmati rice, are not to be missed. If you’re into seafood, have the lump-crab enchilada ($16) loaded with crabmeat and topped with a rich tomatillo crema. Vegetarians will love the spinach and roasted garlic burrito ($13) with charred tomato salsa.
Heads Up: Make reservations or arrive early because seating is extremely limited.
The Scoop: Ask about the homemade caramels. They are fantastic!
