Style: This place is a breakfast-lovers’ paradise, but lunch is just as tasty. Coastal Chaos serves all the basics, but come for something different.

Don’t Miss: If you’re a flapjack fan, try the cinnamon-swirl pancakes ($9, full stack/$7.50, half stack) or out-of-this-world pumpkin pancakes ($9). Egg eaters will love the Sunshine Benny ($9.50), a poached egg on an English muffin topped with avocado, bacon and homemade Hollandaise sauce. Or, try its variation, the Crabby Benny ($14.50), substituting lump crab cakes for bacon. The Liquid Gold ($9.50) is sausage, onion, tomato and eggs on top of two jalapeño biscuits, topped with Hollandaise. Be sure to share an order of the pineapple bacon ($4.50), literally a bowl of crispy bacon glazed with pineapple syrup and topped with slices of pineapple—a treat you’ll have to eat with a fork. The lunch menu features gourmet hamburgers with a variety of toppings. Try the Jersey burger ($8.50) topped with American cheese and pork roll. The pineapple chicken wrap ($8) is a delicious combination of marinated grilled chicken, red onion, pineapple and teriyaki sauce. Can’t decide between breakfast and lunch? Order the chicken & waffles platter ($11), featuring homemade chicken fingers atop a homemade waffle. Yum.

Heads Up: Watch for daily specials, usually posted each morning on Facebook. There’s no website yet, so this is the best way to see what’s cookin’.

The Scoop: Owner and chef Josh Barnhard opened Coastal Chaos in April 2013 after his former restaurant, Taylor’s Dockside Grill, was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.
