Style
Casual spot with indoor and outdoor tables at the Sea Isle Promenade.
The scoop
Steve’s opened in Sea Isle in 2013 and now has eight locations across South Jersey.
The menu
Whether you love grilled cheese or prefer the variety of fillings in a quesadilla, Steve’s offers bold takes. In grilled cheese, for example, the Firehouse combines pepper Jack and American cheese with jalapeños, sriracha sauce and a mac & cheese bite. One of the original sandwiches, the grilled cheesesteak, was so popular it led to a cheese steak section of the menu. Fried pickles, served with sriracha mayo, deliver a tangy crunch. The asiago basil chicken quesadilla (above) unites red pepper-flaked grilled chicken with asiago and provolone cheeses, basil and a side of salsa. Steve’s Famous Watermelon and Feta Salad (with the option to add blackened or grilled chicken) is popular among Yelpers.
Heads up
The grilled cheese-loving seagull in Steve’s logo was fancifully based on a real seagull that supposedly gobbled up stray tidbits.
