Price: $$
Style: Nautical-themed cozy, casual place, with friendly staff and quality comfort food.
Don’t Miss: If you’re a surf-and-turfer, this is the perfect place. Start with the homemade crab cakes ($11), which are served with roasted tomato remoulade. It’s less filling than your average cake. The steamed little neck clams ($12) are nothing to scoff at. Seafood lasagne ($24) has lobster, lump crab, shrimp and scallops. The Asian tuna ($24) is popular and comes with stir-fried vegetables and wasabi aioli. Stuffed flounder ($22) is loaded with lump crabmeat, and there are plenty of sandwiches, paninis and focaccias. An assortment of steaks supplements the seafood specialties—the filet mignon comes in three varieties: blackened ($26), au poivre ($28) and with herbed breadcrumbs and cheese ($27).
Heads Up: The Offshore is a great place to grab a happy-hour drink. It’s just off the beach, so it can get crowded during the summer dinner rush. Arrive early to grab a spot; it’s a hoppin’ place.
The Scoop: Now that the wild summer bunch has vacated the Shore, this is an ideal location for a calm, romantic dinner.
