
Don’t miss Long Beach Island’s 34th annual Chowderfest on Saturday, October 1. This free event—held from 10 am to 7 pm at Taylor Avenue Waterfront in Beach Haven—features outdoor fun, creative activities, outstanding live performances and more.
When you get hungry, there are plenty of local menu specialties to purchase. A variety of beers—such as Michelob ULTRA, Double Nickel Brewing Company, Blue Point and Landshark—will be on tap. Wines and seltzers, including pinot grigio and BABE Rosé, will also be sold.
Over 50 local merchants will be in attendance. Stop by the Ocean County 250 Anniversary Revolutionary Trail & Pup Tent Pet Hydration Station, the Bloomin’ Bus Mobile Bouquet Bar, Lucky’s Bed & Biscuit, and Jetty’s pop-up show (featuring official LBI Chowderfest gear for sale). Entertainment sponsor Health Village Imaging presents music from 11 am to 7 pm; the lineup includes the Brandon Ireland Band, The Fourth Son, Frankie Goes to Dollywood, Gypsy Moon, and Chris Fritz Electric.
The event will conclude with an award ceremony announcing the 2022 Chowderfest champions.

Ahead of Chowderfest on October 1, you can hit the Chowder Trail and become a Traveling Taster, sampling chowders along the island and casting votes for your favorites. Presented by the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, which has been serving area businesses and visitors since 1914, LBI’s Chowderfest showcases the barrier island and its bayfront communities. The festival’s focus on locally sourced and sustainable ingredients, unique recipes, and pride of place creates a one-of-a-kind culinary adventure throughout early fall.
