It’s baaaaaack … notorious Black Friday sales are calling, so you better grab your credit card and get cracking because some of these deals won’t last long. Look at the bright side. All that NJ marathon shopping will help work off the calories from Thanksgiving Dinner.
Black Friday (and Cyber Monday) can be sheer lunacy with unbelievable deals, midnight bargains, crashed websites and shopaholics camped out waiting for stores to open, so be prepared for the mayhem.
Shopping experts remind us to plan ahead by establishing a budget before you start browsing. Do your research and make a list of stores offering the best discounts. Be sure to get an early start because some sales start days before Black Friday. Start checking websites for big-box stores Thursday evening or before. Remember to charge your cell phone, wear comfy shoes and toss a water bottle, granola bars and fruit into your tote bag.
Here’s a sampling of sales that landed in our inboxes this week. (Please note that we aren’t able to personally check out each of these deals, but we are sharing the best ones as reported by our trusted resources.)

Costco. Starting in store at 9 am on Friday, November 24, members can take advantage of in-warehouse-only deals, like $50 off a two-pack of Google Home voice activated speakers, $50 off a Fitbit Charge 2, $100 off a Sony Playstation 4, $100 off an Arlo Pro Smart Home Wireless Security Camera pack, and $120 off a Dyson V7 Animal+ cord free stick vacuum. Also score on-line deals like a Canon EOS SL2 DSLR camera bundle with three lenses for $780 and $90 off an Xbox One S bundle with two games (Madden 18 and NBA 2K18). Looking for a deal on a new computer? Go to costco.com on Thanksgiving morning and score between $90 and $350 off a select variety of Intel computers.
Old Navy. On Black Friday, November 24, grab a pair of cozy socks with unicorn and gingerbread man novelty prints for only $1. Old Navy will also match each purchase with a $1 donation to the Boys and Girls Club, up to a total donation of $1 million. Their official Black Friday Sale, November 22 – 24, offers deals on thousands of styles $10 and under, and an additional 50 percent off an entire purchase in store an online. Then, November 27 and 28, customers will score 40 percent off their Cyber Sale online purchase. But those who can wait until Monday, November 29 will be rewarded with 50 percent off everything online with no exclusions.
Target. Featured deals include 13 TVs on sale for under $300, the lowest price ever on XBox One S and PlayStation 4 Consoles, more than 2,000 toys on sale for under $20, $100 off a KitchenAid stand mixer, buy one get one 50 percent off beauty sets, and deep discounts on the retailer’s new in-house clothing brands. Customers who spend $50 or more in stores or online will also get a 20 percent off coupon to be used on a shopping trip between November 27 and December 10. Target stores open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving evening and close at midnight, then reopen at 6 a.m. Friday.

All Modern. Black Friday early access begins on November 17 and lasts through November 26 with up to 70% off furniture and decor. Area rugs start from $20, accent chairs from $90, Coffee tables from $60, and bedding basics from as low as $25. Then, starting November 26 through November 28, All Modern is offering up to 70% off plus an extra 25% off using code CYBER.
Birch Lane. Black Friday presale begins November 16 and lasts through November 22 with up to 70% off site-wide. Then, on November 23, the Black Friday sale begins with up to 70% off plus free shipping and an additional 20% off with code SAVE20 until November 26. Lastly, starting November 26, Birch Lane will have a Cyber Monday sale with an additional 30% off plus free shipping with code CYBER30 through November 29.
Crane & Canopy. From Friday, November 24 through Monday, November 27, Crane & Canopy is offering 20% off sitewide using the code THANKFUL. This includes bedding, duvet covers and bath towels.
Domino. 20% off early bird special on Thanksgiving, as well as 20% off sitewide on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, no code necessary. Free shipping on Cyber Monday, as well as Saturday and Sunday.
Dormify. From November 22 through November 26 receive 25% off sitewide with code BESTDAYEVER and from 11/27 through 11/28 receive 30% off sitewide with code MONDAYFUNDAY.
Ikea. From Black Friday through Cyber Monday, Ikea will give shoppers a $20 gift card for every $100 in gift cards that they purchase. But if you’re looking to buy actual furniture and decor, the best savings will happen on Thanksgiving day. Prices will be slashed on 21 items, many of which will be more than 40 percent off: the colorful Skruvsta swivel chair will be $59 (reg. $119); the Solsta sleeper sofa will go for $99 (reg. $179); the Breim wardrobe will be just $9.99 (reg. $29.99); certain colors of the foldable Franklin bar stool will be $20 (reg. $39.99); and the Hemmahos rug will be $14.99 (reg. $29.99).
Joss & Main. A sitewide Black Friday sale will begin a week before Black Friday on November 17 with 80% off site-wide until November 26. Then, the Cyber Monday sale begins on November 26 with an additional 30% off with code SAVE30 until November 30.
Le Creuset. Le Creuset’s colorful cookware will be offering a range of sales and gifts with purchase for their version of Black Friday called “Colorful Friday.”
Lulu & Georgia. From November 23 to 26, get 25% off with code GOGOGO. Then from November 27 through December 3, get 20% off with code CYBER.
NARS. The annual Give & Take Event online begins from November 23 – 28, featuring 20% off sitewide. Snag a special item that’s available only on their site, like the gorgeous, deep berry 413 BLKR semi-matte lipstick ($28).
VereVerto. The bag and leather goods company is offering 40% off site-wide on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
We Are Knitters. This lifestyle brand is making knitting stylish, and affordable. On Black Friday and Cyber Monday, every product on the website will be at least (if not more) 25% off without a code, and on Cyber Monday, there will be an additional 5% discount for orders above $100.
