That’s why Grey House Linens is getting a lot of attention. “We source from the finest textile design houses in the country to create custom table linens that perfectly fit your table and reflect your unique design aesthetic,” says owner and founder Sandy Weber.
Grey House Linens can trace its roots to Sandy’s mom. “My mother loved to entertain, and taught me that a beautiful table creates the tone for every event. She impressed upon me that good food and good company deserve a fabulous table setting,” Sandy says.
Sandy, a resident of Glen Ridge for more than 20 years, recognized this was a niche that needed to be filled. So, driven by frustration with the existing marketplace, and a passion for beautiful textiles, Grey House Linens was created.
“I’m fortunate to have access to some of the finest textile design houses in the country and to have my linens crafted at Drake Mills in Paterson, a city with a history of textile production that dates back to Alexander Hamilton,” she says. “It’s extremely satisfying to provide my clients with gorgeous, bespoke table linens that reflect their personal design aesthetic, from traditional and classic to contemporary and modern. It’s my mission to become a trusted resource for exceptional table linens, supported by outstanding, personalized customer service.”
Here’s how it works:
Initial consultation
Just send Grey House Linens an email and let Sandy and her design team know what you’re looking for. They will schedule an in-home consultation within the NYC/Northern NJ area, or an online session anywhere else in the U.S. or Canada. You can also email photographs of your dining area and table.
Fabric selection
Based on your décor and color preferences, the design team will cull from thousands of textiles to provide a customized selection of swatches. Signature “bordered tablecloths” will include two coordinating fabrics. You can also choose fabric for napkins, table runners and placemats. You will receive a price quote for your approval.
Create a pattern
Based on your measurements and table configuration, a custom sewing pattern will be created using an architectural computer application. This pattern can be used for all future tablecloth orders from Grey House Linens.
Craft your linens
Your fabric will be sent to Drake Mills in Paterson, where your bespoke tablecloth, napkins and any other linens will be hand-cut and sewn according to your unique table pattern. Finished linens will be shipped or delivered personally to your home within four to six weeks of your order date.
