About Francis William Short
Dr. Fran Short spent five years as a structural engineer before deciding to go back to school and pursue his dream of becoming an orthodontist. “When I was a kid, my orthodontist always seemed to love what he was doing, and that made it fun for his patients,” he says. “I knew that was what I wanted to do.” After completing dental school and orthodontics training at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Florida, Dr. Short returned to New Jersey, opening his own practice and he’s never looked back. “For me, success means waking up every day excited about going to work,” he says.
Dr. Short also teaches in the orthodontics department at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. At Short Orthodontics, he and his team focus on providing excellent care, while making the experience more enjoyable for their patients.
