About Matt Safari

“Oral healthcare for children is a family affair,” says Dr. Matt Safari, who with Dr. Sally Guerrasio provides comprehensive treatment to infants, children, and adolescents.

“We encourage parents to come in and experience the dental office. That way, we can educate them and their children on dental hygiene and oral health,” says Dr. Guerrasio.

The long standing practice offers cutting-edge services, such as the Solea® laser, a virtually pain-free approach to treating cavities and performing gum surgery without the use of numbing injections or anesthesia. It’s one of many ways the team changes a child’s perception of dentistry from one of fear to one of comfort and enthusiasm.

“Our philosophy is to treat the whole person, not just their teeth. And our reward? It’s getting to see the patients grow from toddlers to adolescents. And many of them bring their children back!” says
Dr. Guerrasio.

Dr. Safari graduated from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry and is currently an attending dentist at Monmouth Medical Center.

Dr. Guerrasio is a board-certified pediatric dentist who graduated from UMDNJ.
