Style: Thai Tida offers an intimate dining experience a few blocks north of Lambertville’s bustling downtown. The small dining room, with traditional Thai art on the walls, a wood-beam ceiling and the gracious staff create an authentic atmosphere—as if you were on the Mekong River rather than the Delaware.

Don’t Miss: Tom kha gai, a classic spicy chicken soup made with coconut milk and ginger-like galangal, makes an ideal starter ($7.95). Tod mun pla, a red-curry fish cake, is Thai comfort food ($7.95). Among entrées, salmon chu chee stands out ($20.95) for its tender steamed fish and tasty array of mushrooms, baby corn, snow peas and bell peppers flavored with red curry. The restaurant’s rendition of pad thai, perhaps the Thai dish most popular with Americans, features an especially rich and flavorful peanut sauce. 

Heads Up: Thai Tida, a BYO, offers a gluten-free and vegan menu, prepared separately to prevent cross-contamination. Additional modifications may be made upon request.

The Scoop: Thai Tida recently began to present live entertainment of various kinds. (One of the first shows, in August, featured drag performers doing Cher, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.) Check their Facebook page for announcements.
