Waikiki Poke & Ramen, Saddle Brook

This new Hawaiian restaurant encourages guests to “eat right and be bright.” An extensive menu includes pick-your-own ramen and bowls, with options such as tofu, shrimp, chicken, sprouts, eggs, ahi tuna, edamame and more. The restaurant also offers bubble tea with flavors such as brown sugar, mango, melon, jasmine, Mandarin coffee and more.

Eleven Central, Midland Park

After taking over what had been Legend’s Corner Pub, this bar and restaurant opened earlier this month. Its menu includes salads, sandwiches, small bites and entrées, such as pork Milanese, Cajun chicken pasta, sliced steak, fried mozzarella wedges and more. There’s also a Midland Park burger, made with blue cheese, bacon and frizzled onions.

Brix Haus, Hoboken

Pastry chef Tara Glick is opening her new ice cream company, with a focus on seasonal ingredients, in spring 2023. The space was previously occupied by Giorgio’s bakery.

Don’t Tell Liv, Jersey City

Slated to open in the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza, Don’t Tell Liv will be an upscale lounge with a speakeasy feel (think: cocktail tables, florals and cozy seating). The opening date has not yet been announced.

Bubbakoo’s Burritos, Mahwah

This popular chain, launched in Point Pleasant in 2008, has opened in Mahwah—marking its 52nd location in New Jersey. Bubbakoo’s Mexican-fusion menu offers customizable burritos, bowls and meals with ingredients including shrimp, steak, shredded pork, hot chicken and more.
