What was Monmouth County missing in its dining scene? An American-French bistro, according to the Rallo family. That’s why they opened River Pointe Inn in Rumson. The concept here is oysters, cocktails and contemporary classics.

Taking inspiration from similar restaurants, River Pointe Inn is an elegant eatery focused on exceptional hospitality. Booths with genuine leather banquettes, a marble bar top, brass light fixtures, and candles make up the dining space.

The menu is designed to have something for everyone, ranging from steaks to burgers. Seafood dominates the offerings.

The restaurant, which opened in January, is the latest from restaurateur Victor Rallo, who is behind NJM Italian fave Undici Taverna Rustica in Rumson and Birravino in Red Bank. Italian food, wine and hospitality are in his blood and have been passed down to his son—and new partner—Jake Rallo, 24. Jake, who posts recipe videos on TikTok to his 52,000-plus followers, has been learning about dining and hospitality from Victor. (His older sister, Eli Rallo, is also a social media star.) Jake says River Pointe Inn is his first “stepping stone into carrying on and continuing” his family’s legacy.
