5 Vintage Shopping Experiences To Scope Out This February

Love the thrill of the hunt? You’re sure to discover antique jewelry, furniture and books you can’t pass up at these February shopping events.

72nd Annual Glen Ridge Antiques Show
Feb 2-3: We’re told this is the longest running antique show in New Jersey. Both serious collectors and casual browsers alike appreciate the variety of antique furniture, art and collectibles. All proceeds go to people in need throughout the county via ten local charities. Glen Ridge Congregational Church (195 Ridgewood Ave). Fri, 10 am-9 pm; Sat, 10 am-4 pm; $7-$9.

Vintage Costume Jewelry Show
Feb 3: Longtime collector Joyce Simmons shares her expertise on costume jewelry. Her display will have 300-400 vintage pieces ranging from 1880 to the 1980s. Browse retro costume necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches and rings at reasonable prices. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, there will be a selection of vintage heart-shaped pieces.

Mid-Winter Antiques Show
Feb 3-4: This show spotlights approximately 40 dealers. Attendees can explore a wide selection of furniture, books, ceramics, glass, jewelry, linens, memorabilia, toys, pottery and more. Food will be available for purchase in the Event Center. The Museum of American Glass will be open during the show from 11 am to 3 pm, with group tours at 11:30 am and 1 pm both days.

Cape May Crafts &  Collectibles in Winter
Feb 17-18: Throughout the year, the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) presents craft shows featuring local and regional vendors. Proceeds go towards MAC’s preservation and restoration projects for the Cape May Lighthouse, World War II Lookout Tower, and the Emlen Physick Estate.
Cape May Convention Hall (Beach Avenue at Stockton)
10 am-4 pm;  $2, free for MAC Members

Morristown Armory Antique Show
Feb 24-25: Head to this antiquing paradise with more than 100 exhibit booths selling paintings, rugs, lamps, watches, fashions, linens, books, art and more. There will be a porcelain and pottery restoration clinic and a certified appraisal booth.
Sat, 10 am-6 pm; Sun, 11 am-5 pm; $8-$10
