Valentine’s Day is almost here, which means it’s time to square away those reservations for an evening with that special someone in your life. Plenty of New Jersey restaurants (and bars!) are offering specials that you and yours are sure to adore.

Blu on the Hudson • Weehawken

While overlooking the Manhattan skyline, enjoy a 4-course prix-fixe Valentine’s dinner at $120 per person. The specialty menu includes a sushi tasting, tuna rice cakes, wagyu skirt steak and even large format entrees served for the whole table to enjoy, as well as sides and love-themed desserts. Cocktails and wine available at an additional cost. Blu on the Hudson will also be celebrating Galentine’s on February 13 from 5-10 pm with it’s a la carte menu.

Now through February 14, you can try 801’s Valentine’s speciality cocktail, the La Vie En Rose, with tequila blanco, rose, strawberry, citrus and vegan foam. However, the celebration doesn’t end there. On Tuesday, February 20, look into the future at “Galentine’s Tarot & Tequila Night.” For $45, you’ll get one Tarot reading from a local psychic and one Espolon Tequila cocktail.

Three course, prix fixe menus are being offered at Drifthouse in Sea Bright ($95 per person), Red Horse in Bernards Inn ($120), Orchard Park in East Brunswick ($115), Ventanas in Fort Lee ($125), Son Cubano in West New York ($95), the Fox & Falcon in South Orange ($75). Chocolate and wine make perfect V-Day buddies. Throughout February, wineries around the state are offering chocolate and wine samplings. For example, Bellview Winery in Landisville is offering tastings of four specialty chocolate treats and four wines, as well as wine cocktails, red wine hot chocolate, a food truck and live music at this first come, first served weekend event.

Salt Creek Grille • Princeton & Rumson

Whether in Mercer or Monmouth County, love is on the menu at each Salt Creek Grille location. In Rumson, there is an extensive Vday á la carte menu, featuring stuffed jumbo shrimp, coffee-encrusted NY strip and a wide sushi selection. Princeton, with a smaller yet plentiful menu, is introducing its Valentine’s Day Bubbles, Charcuterie & Three Course Meal special.
