STYLE
Sometimes, names should not be taken literally. Case in point is Sugar Factory at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. While it features a floor-to-ceiling candy wall stacked with more than 500 different confections, the bulk of the menu is savory. The décor is the icing on the cake. There’s a bold and vibrant dining room and a white marble bar overlooking the casino. You can enjoy your meal or treat on Sugar Factory’s dining patio on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
THE SCOOP
Jersey’s only outlet of this chain, which operates in 11 states (and in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Bahamas).

THE MENU
Sugar Factory’s rainbow sliders are a colorful versions of the classic, topped with American cheese, pickles, crispy onions and a signature sauce—complimentary rubber duckie included. Crêpes, salads and specialty pizzas are available, as well as sandwiches such as grilled, aged cheddar on artisan white bread with creamy marinara. If you’re in the mood for greens and protein, try the ginger-sesame chicken salad or the pan-roasted salmon salad. Monster burgers, steaks and pastas round out the menu. There are specialty beverages and house-made doughnuts and pastries. The King Kong Sundae serves 12. The signature, 36-ounce, alcohol-infused candy goblets are served smoking. They’re designed with input, the restaurant says, from celebrities such as Pitbull, Snoop Dogg, Bruno Mars and Jennifer Lopez.
