Serving up quick yet authentic Mexican delights, Playa Taqueria offers a selection of tacos, tortas, burritos, bowls and nachos. Tortilla chips can be purchased by the bag; tortillas, by the pound. It’s closed on Mondays.

Country Cafe, Wyckoff

After shutting the doors at its Franklin Lakes location this summer, the cozy brunch/lunch spot recently opened its new home. The cafe serves everything from brisket eggs Benedict and birthday pancakes to burgers, salads and homemade banana bread, all with a country flair.

Bricco, Cherry Hill

This fan-favorite pizzeria has opened a second location just a few towns away from its original Westmont spot. Bricco was named one of the world’s 50 best pizzas by Big 7 Travel last year. In addition to coal-fired pies, the menu includes pasta, paninis and antipasti.

Closings

Izakaya, Atlantic City 

The modern Japanese pub, which has resided in Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa for 15 years, will be closing its doors on January 1. The closure is described as a “strategic move” for both Borgata and chef Michael Schulson, according to a press release. A new culinary concept will fill the space later in 2024.
