Don’t want to spend Thanksgiving in the kitchen? These holiday specials are happening at restaurants all over New Jersey.

NORTH JERSEY

87 Sussex, Jersey City

Enjoy a gourmet-style Thanksgiving takeout prepared by Chef Brian Walter. The five-course offering comes in two sizes, one for 4-6 people ($350) and another for 6-10 people ($650). Choose from a menu including double consommé of organic chicken, smoked gouda mac & cheese, death by truffle whipped potatoes, heritage turkey and much more. All orders must be placed by November 24 and can be picked up on Thanksgiving between 11 am and 1:45 pm.

Benares, Wyckoff

Benares is open on Thanksgiving for dine-in meals and takeout orders. Their offerings include vegetable samosas, palak paneer, rasmali, yellow dal tadka, and much more.  The takeout package feeds 4-6 people for $149. Vegan and vegetarian options abound.

Blue Morel, Morristown

Blue Morel’s Thanksgiving buffet features roast turkey, beef, a raw bar, salads, dessert and more. Reservations, highly recommended, are available between noon and 8 pm on Thanksgiving. The buffet is $89 per adult and $29 for children under 12.

Blu on the Hudson, Weehawken

Enjoy a Thanksgiving feast overlooking the Hudson that includes free-range turkey, veal parmesan, Prime Del Monico steak, carrot cake, pumpkin pie and more. The prix fixe three-course meal is $69 per person. Reservations, highly recommended, are available from 1-9 pm on Thanksgiving Day.

Brasserie Mémére, Closter

The three-course dine-in menu ($69 per person; from noon-8 pm) includes escargots in garlic-herb butter, butternut squash soup, roast turkey, beef tenderloin, pumpkin crème brûlée and more. Thanksgiving dinner to go–featuring turkey, sides and a bottle of Beaujolais nouveau—feeds 6-10 people for $290, with additional add-ons available; orders must be received by Saturday, November 23, and picked up on Thanksgiving between 11 am and 2 pm.

Let the chefs at Byrd prepare your Thanksgiving meal for you. This Hoboken establishment is offering a Thanksgiving package throughout November, which includes cranberry sauce, potato rolls, roasted turkey and more; feeds 6-8 guests ($350).

Choc-O-Pain, Hoboken & Jersey City

Need to outsource dessert? Choc-O-Pain’s tarts come in flavors including pumpkin, apple, pear spiced almond cream, vegan chocolate ganache and pecan. All orders must be placed 48 hours in advance.

Crystal Springs Resort, Hamburg

This resort is hosting multiple Thanksgiving feasts. The Emerald Ballroom ($75 per person), Diamond Ballroom ($68 per person) and Black Bear Golf Club ($65 per person) are serving a buffet of seafood, other hot options and dessert; the Canyon Ballroom at Minerals Hotel ($68 per person) offers a similar selection for its Thanksgiving buffet. Crystal Tavern ($72 per person) and Springs Bistro ($68 per person) offer a three-course Thanksgiving dinner, with Springs offering a wine pairing ($100 per person). Kites Restaurant ($59 per person), meanwhile, offers a three-course meal with soup, salad, turkey and dessert. Wine director Susanne Wagner is hosting tastings in the Wine Cellar—which houses the state’s largest wine collection—suggesting pairings with classic dishes. Reservations suggested.

Faubourg, Montclair

Faubourg is one of New Jersey Monthly‘s 40 Best Restaurants in the state, and its Thanksgiving offerings live up to the hype. The French-style restaurant is offering a family-style Thanksgiving dinner package for pickup. It includes butternut squash soup, roast turkey with chestnut stuffing, fall vegetables and more. Other items, such as shrimp cocktail, chicken pot pie and roasted salmon, are available a la carte. The package can feed 3-4 people ($255) or 6-8 people ($495). Orders must be submitted by November 16 and picked up on November 27 or 28 between 10 am and noon.

The Fox & Falcon by David Burke, South Orange

The Fox & Falcon, from celebrity chef David Burke, is offering an in-restaurant feast—three courses with add-on sides. The prix fixe meal goes for $75 per person; both include turkey, butter nut soup, clothesline bacon, gravy, Caesar salad, vanilla-bean crème brûlée and pie. Reservations are recommended, and are available between noon and 8 pm on Thanksgiving.

Gioia Mia, Montclair

Craving an Italian spin on Thanksgiving? Bring your friends and family to to Gioia Mia, which is offering just that this season with its 5-course prix fixe menu. Enjoy offerings such as butternut squash soup, bucatini, turkey roulade, candied yams, focaccia stuffing, and dutch apple pie. The menu is $85 per person, and will be served from 1 pm-6:30 pm on Thanksgiving.

Grain & Cane, Berkeley Heights

Bring home a complete Thanksgiving meal. The $200 package feeds 6-8 people and includes turkey breast, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, sweet potato casserole and roasted butternut squash. Other a la carte items—such as pumpkin cheesecake, upside-down apple cake and additional sides and mains—are also available. Orders must be placed by November 22 and can be picked up from noon-6 pm on November 27. Want to dine in on Thanksgiving? The restaurant is offering its regular menu in addition to a Thanksgiving menu.

This restaurant in Hoboken’s W Hotel is offering a takeout menu as well as a three-course, dine-in menu. The takeout menu ($225; serves 4-6 people) includes squash soup, turkey breast, mashed potatoes, fall vegetables and pies. Orders must be placed online by November 22, and can be picked up on Thanksgiving from 11 am-1 pm. Options for the prix-fixe dinner include turkey confit fritters, braised beef short rib and cobbler, in addition to special wines.

Jarana, East Rutherford

Want a Latin twist on the traditional Thanksgiving feast? Jarana, which opened last year at American Dream, has you covered with a special Peruvian Thanksgiving Giving Back menu, from which a portion of the proceeds will go to support the Pachacútec Culinary Institute in Peru; it features a selection of chupecito, piernita de pavo horneada y locro, pumpkin tres leches and much more. The special menu, served throughout November, is available for 2 people sharing-style for $55 per person.

If your celebration is on the smaller side, enjoy a to-go Thanksgiving meal for four that includes cream of pumpkin soup, kale salad, lasagna Bolognese, an herb-roasted half turkey and apple cranberry cobbler. Take a trip to the Paulus Hook neighborhood for this restaurant’s Thanksgiving feast. Sátis Bistro’s refined three-course meal includes rum spiced butternut squash soup, roasted turkey in rosemary gravy, sweet potatoes au gratin, and your choice of pistachio or pumpkin tiramisu. It is $75 per person, and dinner will be served from noon to 5:30 pm; Reservations are recommended.

For groups ranging from four to six, Seasons 52 is offering a to-go Thanksgiving box with salad, roast turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, squash, cranberry relish, and mini-pumpkin pies. for $230. Pick up orders on November 27 and reheat at home on Thanksgiving.

The takeout offering ($75 per person) includes pumpkin soup, turkey, sides of potato purée and autumn vegetables, and an apple cobbler; additional $35 sides are available. The in-restaurant menu ($95 per adult; $50 per child under age 10) features appetizers (including pumpkin soup, an autumn salad, short rib tortellini and tuna tartare), entrées (including turkey, halibut and beef) and desserts (including chocolate mousse cake and pumpkin pie). This cozy little establishment is rolling out the red carpet this Thanksgiving, offering a three-course prix fixe menu and, for those who want to stay home, a takeout package. Both options includes items such as sage gnocchi, roasted turkey, and cranberry pecan pie. The prix fixe menu is $85 per person (reservations recommended), while takeout serves 6-8 people for $395. Takeout orders can be picked up on Thanksgiving before 1 pm.

Fresh Harvest Buffet’s dinner ($59.99 per person) includes roasted turkey, prime rib, a raw bar (shrimp, clams and oysters), corn bread stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes and pies (pumpkin, apple and pecan). Speaking of pies, chef Thaddeus DuBois is preparing a Thanksgiving pie sale ($25 per pie) with selections such as chocolate peanut butter, apple, blueberry, Boston Creme and more.
