The Roost, Egg Harbor Township

A new pub and grill has opened inside Harbor Pines Golf Club. Named for the turkeys that roam the property, the Roost—open to the public—offers indoor and outdoor dining, with views of the golf course and lake. Enjoy classic American fare, plus wines, cocktails and beers on tap.

Gong Cha, Old Tappan

This Taiwanese bubble-tea chain—known for using real tea leaves instead of powdered tea—has opened a new location in Bergen County. The menu offers a variety of milk teas, tea lattes and slushes.

La Strada at the Shore, Atlantic City

La Strada’s first East Coast location has opened inside Harrah’s in Atlantic City. The menu features classic Italian dishes with modern influences, including the famous porcini ravioli, which the Food Network called the “best pasta in the country” in 2019. Make a reservation to see for yourself!

Closings

The Tortilla Press, Collingswood

Known as one of the first eateries to set up shop in Collingswood, the Tortilla Press has closed after serving Mexican-inspired dishes for 20 years. Owners Mark Smith and Lydia Cipriani cited rising labor and food costs after the pandemic. Their sister restaurant, Tortilla Press Cantina in Pennsauken, will remain open.
