Vibe N Slurp & Bunz N Dumpz, Ortley Beach

After opening his first Vibe N Slurp in Toms River this year, Chef Wayne Carrington added a second location in Ortley Beach this summer. In addition to the Vibe N Slurp menu full of housemade ramen, a second menu, Bunz N Dumpz, includes Asian and Caribbean street food. Bao buns made with lobster, coconut shrimp, tofu and more are available for takeout. Online ordering is available as well.

The Bistro at Seaside, Seaside Heights

This new restaurant offers ocean views atop the Aztec Ocean Resort. The menu, headed by Chef Ranjanpriyadas, includes pasta, sandwiches, salads and seafood such as lobster tails, jumbo Gulf shrimp and catches of the day. Catering, private events and online ordering are available. Open seven days a week at 11 am.

Pizza Town USA, Elmwood Park

Michelle and Bruce Tomo, owners of Pizza Town, have sold the restaurant. The beloved spot was family-owned for 60 years, and will remain open under new management. The Tomos thanked their customers in a Facebook announcement, which stated that the “quality of the product will not change.”

Boutique Bar Room at Crystal Springs Resort, Hamburg

The resort recently added a wine tasting and bar room, which offers creative cocktails and seasonal cuisine. Guests can try wines with help from the sommelier, or enjoy a meal in the chef’s outdoor garden.

Fig & Tomato, Hillsdale

This Italian/European restaurant opened last week. The team is also behind Cork & Crust and Raw Oyster Bar & Italian Kitchen, both in Harrington Park. Fig & Tomato’s menu includes such Italian classics as seafood, pasta and brick-oven pizza. Open daily at 11:30 am; closed on Mondays.
