We live in the age of wellness. Acai bowls and fresh-pressed juices have gone mainstream. Mindfulness and meditation are embraced as useful and effective stress-reducing techniques. And there’s never been a greater emphasis on self-care.

According to the Global Wellness Institute, a nonprofit research and educational resource, the booming wellness industry was valued at $4.2 trillion in 2017, up 12.8 percent from 2015. Wellness centers, health food stores and boutique fitness studios are cropping up across the country, including right here in New Jersey, and wellness products like essential oils, flower essences, bone broth, supplements and CBD oil are on the rise.

Of course, wellness is about more than eating better and exercising. (Keep that up, though.) It also encompasses mind-body techniques, beauty and anti-aging regimens, integrative and complementary medicine, better sleep, workplace wellness and more. It’s about embracing a more holistic definition of well-being.

The new year brings a fresh start, and with it, a new opportunity to improve your lifestyle. We’ve put together a package to help you craft your own path to wellness this month and all year long.
