New Jersey may be geographically small, but we’re big on giving. To honor those who have made an exemplary commitment to helping others, New Jersey Monthly created the annual Seeds of Hope Awards. Now in its ninth year, Seeds of Hope has saluted more than 45 individuals for outstanding achievement in philanthropy and volunteer service to their communities or their chosen causes.
We select the honorees with help from a distinguished panel of judges, which–this year consisted of fund-raising consultant Jay Angeletti, president of the Angeletti Group; entrepreneur Katie Borghese of Casa di Francesca; Clement Price, professor of history and director of the Institute on Ethnicity, Culture & the Modern Experience at Rutgers University; and Ruth C. Lipper, volunteer chairperson of the Lipper Family Foundation.
