Whether you grew up playing Mario Kart, Need for Speed or even Pole Position, you’ve probably wondered what it would feel like to be behind the wheel in an actual race. You’ll wonder no longer after a visit to RPM Raceway in Jersey City—where state-of-the-art, electric-powered go-karts can reach up to 50 mph.

RPM Raceway has been a go-to place for indoor go-karting in New Jersey since opening in 2017. Track layouts are constantly updated and improved—with plenty of hairpin turns to test drivers’ karting capabilities. Every Monday, RPM Raceway raises the stakes with Super G Mondays, when the two quarter-mile tracks are combined into one half-mile track for an entirely new challenge.

Ready to go for a spin? With Arrive and Drive racing, no reservations are required. Simply show up, and you’ll be pitted against up to 10 other drivers vying for the fastest lap time. Group racing is also available; parties of eight or more can compete in a two-, three- or four-race grand prix. For serious kart enthusiasts, RPM Raceway offers a variety of instructional courses, as well as a seasonal racing league for adults.

Arrive and Drive pricing starts at $30 for one race. Group rates start at $40 for kids, $60 for adults and $99 for corporate events. RPM Raceway also offers an annual membership for $65 a year. Benefits include two free races on the day of purchase, one free race on your next visit, discounts on Arrive and Drive racing, and more.
