Lately Mount Laurel businessman Robert Lipinski has gotten a lot of requests to show off his right hand. The 48-year-old Philadelphia Eagles fan submitted the highest bid on an eBay auction for the 2004 NFC Championship ring owned by All-Pro wide receiver Terrell Owens.
T.O., who lives in Moorestown, is boycotting the press these days, but according to his Web site, terrellowens.com, the Alabama native will donate the $48,200 that Lipinski paid for his ring to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. Owens presented Lipinski with the ring during a ceremony at the Cherry Hill Cigar Club. The band is cast in 14-karat white gold with 73 diamonds and features a relief of the Eagles logo and Owens’s name and number 81.
“I wear it every day, and a couple of times people have asked to put it on,” says Lipinski, who owns an in-ground pool company and a landscaping and irrigation service. “I’m a big Eagles fan and T.O. fan, so this is pretty cool.”
