Summer isn’t over just yet. Squeeze in some more fun this Labor Day Weekend without even leaving the state. We’ve got food festivals, beer celebrations, concerts, carnivals and more.

Lead East
Aug 30-Sept 3

An annual celebration of all things ’50s, featuring live oldies music, drive-in movies, antique collectibles and a huge vintage car show.

Hilton Parsippany

Boonton Labor Day Carnival & Parade
Aug 31-Sept 3
Come out to Boonton High School for live music, carnival rides and games, and fireworks. Look forward to the parade on Saturday and the pig roast on Sunday.

Airfest
Sept 1-4
The annual Airfest returns to the Naval Air Station Wildwood. The Collings Foundation, a nonprofit that works to preserve aviation history, will fly in with WWII bombers. Schedule a personal flight in one of the aircraft. Food trucks will offer everything from cheese steaks to crepes. Other amusements include a beer garden, lectures, live music and kids’ activities.
$14, adults; $10, children
Cape May Airport

Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival
Sept 1-3
Seventeen bluegrass groups perform throughout the day at the Salem County Fairgrounds. Novice pickers can work on their skills at the Jam Central Station. FiddleKicks will host clogging workshops on both Friday and Saturday at 3 pm.

BBQ & Craft Beer Festival
Sept 2-4
Indulge in pulled pork, ribs and brisket, then wash it all down with brews from the beer garden. Live music, children’s activities and horse racing add to this holiday-weekend festival.

Bacon, Bikes & Brews
Sept 2-3
Attention bacon lovers! Satisfy your cravings at award-winning food trucks offering delicious, crispy treats. A beer tent, craft vendors, live bands, children’s activities, tours of the historic buildings, and bike and motorcycle displays add to the fun.
11 am-5 pm; $10; Kids under 18 are free.
Allaire State Park, Farmingdale

Labor Day Music Festival
Sept 3
Send off summer 2017 with a celebration on Congress Hall’s lawn. Enjoy a picnic and live performances during the second annual festival. Kids’ activities include face painting, tie dyeing and lawn games. The menu will feature hot dogs, hamburgers, fried chicken, salads and more.

Riverfest
Sept 3
Frenchtown throws its annual party along the Delaware River with live music, food vendors, paper-boat races and art exhibits.

Scandinavian Fest
Sept 3
Celebrate the traditions and lifestyle of the Nordic region at the 33rd annual event. Expect live music, a craft fair, lectures and food.
10 am-6 pm; $11-$14.
Vasa Park, Budd Lake

Wildwood Block Party & Music Festival
Sept 3
This family festival includes crafts, games, rides, food and live entertainment all day. The entertainment lineup includes MFSB, Brass Transit: The Musical Legacy of Chicago, Jeremiah Hunter, Just In Time and Bittersweet.
