STYLE

Set in a mixed-use commercial and residential neighborhood, this space is bright and airy. Defined by a modern palm wallpaper that sets an island theme, the large, spacious dining room is anchored by a lengthy bar at one end and opens to a private event area at the other.

THE SCOOP

Father and son Parris and Tristan Jordan opened this Caribbean-inspired eatery in March.

THE MENU

Cocktails first! Their signature blends include the Seven-Mile Sunset martini with vanilla and coconut notes blended with vodka, mango, lime and pineapple. Or try the Sorrel Buccaneer, made with a popular Jamaican staple that has a fruity, gingery taste.

Complement these well-balanced drinks with the perfectly spiced red chili wings, which are fried and then coated with a sticky, savory sauce. While you will find traditional Jamaican dishes like oxtail stew and jerk chicken, the menu also offers a variety of Caribbean-inspired pastas, beef or salmon burgers, and vegetarian curried cauliflower steak with a pumpkin purée.

HEADS UP

There is a parking lot in the rear. Bacchanal Junction is located on the borders of East Orange and Bloomfield—GPS mapping may bring up either city.
