Style: Fast-casual eatery serving comfort-food classics in a tan interior with one accent wall in white subway tiles. The dining area has rearrangeable tables and chairs and one larger booth. Outdoor seating available in warm weather.

The Scoop: In March 2013, Steve and Maribeth Clarke opened the restaurant in the space previously occupied by Baker’s Treat in the Shoppes at Woods Tavern shopping center.

The Menu: Order at the counter after scanning the plentiful menu and daily specials printout. As the restaurant’s name suggests, grilled and hand-breaded chicken tenders are the main event, offered in servings of one, three, five, 10 or 20. Standout sauces include spicy chipotle BBQ, creamy cilantro and Carolina-style tangy BBQ. Other options include chicken, pork or veggie burritos; a Tenderlicious salad, with grilled chicken tenders, apples, cranberries and almonds on mixed greens; and several chicken sandwich variations. Expect daily specials such as teriyaki chicken wrap (pictured), lobster rolls, shrimp creole and chicken pot pie. For dessert, try the waffles and ice cream or an Oreo milkshake.

Heads Up: If you’re grabbing a bite to go, it’s wise to call 10-to-15 minutes ahead so it’s ready when you arrive. Tender Lovin Grill also offers catering.
