Don’t Miss: The 12-inch pizzas, baked in the 900-degree oven, are the way to go. Choose from a dozen versions. They make an excellent classic Margherita ($10). Also delicious are the white pie, with mozzarella, ricotta, pecorino and fresh garlic ($11); the 3P, with pesto, pistachio and pecorino ($11); or the white clam, finished with garlic, white wine and pecorino ($13.50). Terrific contemporary pies include the BBQ chicken, the buffalo chicken and the pulled pork (each, $13.50). For a lighter meal, try one of the nine flatbread sandwiches, which range from garlic flatbread with pecorino, salt and pepper ($4) to the chipotle chicken version with spinach, roasted peppers, bacon and mozzarella ($9). As a starter, it’s hard to beat the zesty Ramstein spinach salad topped with chickpeas, corn, peppers and black beans ($8). The traditional Italian desserts like cannoli and tiramisu ($5.50), are all made in house.
Heads Up: With a mix of commercial and residential properties on this busy main road, street parking can be hard to find, especially on a Friday or Saturday.
The Scoop: A BYO, Coney Island also offers wines from Ventimiglia Vineyards in Sussex County as well as blood-orange sangria set-ups for $10 to mix with your wine or a Ventimiglia bottle.
