Style: This friendly one-room BYOB bistro features fresh eclectic cuisine nestled (almost hidden) in a quiet (almost abandoned) corner of the Lawrence Shopping Center.

Don’t Miss: To start, take advantage of the complimentary bread bar with homemade flavored butters (sweet, herb, garlic, or cinnamon sugar). With twelve homemade salad dressings in unique flavors including dandelion, honey garlic, sweet poppyseed, and creamy jalapeno, any of the huge salads are a good bet ($6.50–$9.50). Try the crunchy oriental salad with grilled chicken, chopped lettuce, carrots, waterchestnuts, fried noodles, and peanuts, topped with bean sprouts and toasted sesame seeds in creamy sesame dressing ($9.50). A must for lunch or dinner is the stand-out chicken salad with grapes and walnuts sandwich, on your choice of pita, rye, whole wheat, kaiser roll, or a croissant ($9). Other options include homemade quiche varieties in spinach-mushroom, broccoli, or supreme with bacon, onions, and mushrooms ($4.50) and a black bean gardenburger with Southwestern spiced black beans and topped with red onions, lettuce, tomato, and a sundried-tomato chili mayo, served with delicious roasted red potatoes ($8.25). Special entrees for dinner feature the flavorful shish ka-bobs with your choice of steak, shrimp, chicken, veggie, or scallops (wrapped in bacon), skewered with mushrooms, peppers, onions, and cherry tomatoes and served over a generous portion of basmati rice ($18).

Heads Up: The restaurant packs a big office crowd for lunch. For dinner, it’s always an affordable meal for the family, but be sure to clip one of their always-circulating coupons for extra savings.
