Dine with dad on Father’s Day at The Bernards Inn, 27 Mine Brook Road, Bernardsville. An a la carte brunch will be served 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Beginning at 5 PM, Dad can choose from the regular a la carte dinner menu or the prix-fixe Sunday Supper. Reservations: 908-766-0002.

Bibi’z Restaurant, 284 Center Avenue, Westwood, will offer a prix-fixe brunch from 11 AM to 3 PM; $39 and an a la carte dinner from 3 to 8:30 PM. All dad’s will receive a complimentary mimosa, beer or wine. Reservations: 201-722-8600.

Crystal Springs Resort, Hamburg celebrates Father’s Day weekend with the return of two favorites: the 7th annual NJ Beer & Food Festival on Saturday, June 20, and the Father’s Day BBQ in the Chef’s Garden with Crystal Spring’s chef John Greeley and New York City’s acclaimed Hometown Bar-B-Que Pitmaster Billy Durney on Sunday, June 21. Escape, 345 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, will offer a two-course brunch from 11:30 AM to 4 PM for $19 and a special a la carte barbecue dinner from 4 to 8 PM, which will showcase locally sourced ingredients. Reservations: 973-744-0712; BYO.

Haven Restaurant and Bar, 2 Main Street (for GPS, use 45 River Road), Edgewater Harbor, Edgewater, will offer a dinner menu beginning at noon. Reservations: 201-943-1900.

On Friday, June 19, a Father’s Day Grill & Chill hands-on cooking class will be held at Heirloom Kitchen, 3853 Rt 516, Old Bridge. Menu items include: whiskey peach BBQ chicken; gingerbread stout spice cake with crème anglaise; business mac & cheese with Applewood bacon; and beer-battered asparagus. 6:30 PM; $90. On Saturday, June 20 at 6 PM, the Father’s Day Grill & Chill hands-on cooking class will be repeated with the following menu: peppered red-wine marinated flank steak with scratch-made balsamic-rosemary BBQ; fennel and fingerling confit; honey-glazed carrots; and toffee pudding with brown-sugar bourbon ice cream. THE KITCHEN BOOK PARTY & BITES

Join the Montclair Food & Wine Festival in cooperation with BSTV Entertainment at Tiny Elephant and Watchung Booksellers, 54 Fairfield Street, Watchung Plaza, Montclair, for The Kitchen book party and bites. Sunny Anderson, Katie Lee and Geoffrey Zakarian, co-hosts of The Kitchen on Food Network, will be in attendance for a book signing from 7 to 9 PM. Additionally, on a first-come, first-serve basis, attendees will sample bites from each star’s cookbook prepared by Tiny Elephant, along with a Zakarian-inspired “Five o’clock Somewhere” cocktail crafted from Jersey’s own Busted Barrel Rum and Blue J Syrups.
