BURG COMING TO NEWARK
Hand-crafted burgers, salads, mini-doughnuts with wine and locally sourced craft beer on tap will be featured at BURG: Jersey Burgers & Taps that is expected to open in August in Newark’s Military Park. Chef Chris Siversen and restaurateur Marc Haskell, owners of Maritime Parc in Jersey City have partnered in this undertaking with Biederman Redevelopment Ventures (BRV Corp.) and The Military Park Partnership, which redeveloped (and will operate) the revitalized park.

Menu items include a Cowboy Burger (blend of signature beef plus roast beef, BBQ sauce, griddled onions), chicken burger with kale pesto (pickled onions, sautéed mushrooms) and their signature Ice Burg (frozen old fashioned). BURG will rely heavily on the bounty of New Jersey purveyors such as Radicle Farms, Zone 7 and Valley Shepherd. Patrons will be able to dine al fresco and enjoy Military Park’s new gardens as well as various programs and events, like live music and a film series. Military Park will re-open later this spring. The restaurant will be open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
