Through May 31, Maifest, Germany’s annual festival to welcome the arrival of Spring will be held at Pilsener Haus Biergarten, 1422 Grand St, Hoboken. THE FARM AND FISHERMAN TAVERN & MARKET, CHERRY HILL

To celebrate National Burger Month, The Farm and Fisherman Tavern & Market, 1442 Marlton Pike East, Cherry Hill (856-356-2282) will feature a Burger Happy Hour, during the month of May, featuring a $5 Burger and Unlimited Fixins’ Bar, plus $2 off all draught beers, specialty cocktails and wines by the glass. Burger Happy Hour will be available Monday through Friday from 4 until 7 PM.

LOOKING AHEAD: OUTSTANDING IN THE FIELD AT GREAT ROAD FARM, SKILLMAN

Tickets are now on sale for the 2014 North American Tour of “Outstanding in the Field,” which will be held at Great Road Farm, 1459 Great Road, Skillman. The tour’s mission is “to reconnect diners to the land and the origins of their food, and to honor the local farmers and food artisans who cultivate it.” Guest chef is Josh Thomsen of Agricola Eatery in Princeton, which was named one of the top restaurants in America by Gayot.com and was in the top 25 restaurants of 2013 listed by New Jersey Monthly. NJ SPRING WINE FESTIVAL

Over 150 wines will be available for tasting as well as hors d’oeuvres, antipasto, pasta, cheese, breads and much more at the Seventh Annual New Jersey Spring Wine Festival, which will be held at the Hilton Short Hills, 41 John F. Kennedy Parkway. Short Hills, 7 to 10 PM; $79; final two weeks, $89. Two optional wine classes will be held, consisting of a side-by-side tasting of five wines at 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM for $25. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Family Promise of Bergen County, an organization dedicated to alleviating the plight of the homeless in Bergen County. Tickets at the event website.

SATURDAY, MAY 10
FARM TO FORK FUNDRAISER

America’s Grow-a-Row’s Farm to Fork Fundraiser featuring local food, wine and craft-beer tasting, artisans, dinner and auction will be held at Life Camp, 67 McCann Mill Road, Pottersville. The mission of this organization “is to positively impact as many lives as possible through a volunteer effort of planting, picking, rescuing, and delivering free fresh produce.” 5 to 10:30 PM; $125. MONDAY, MAY 12
TASTES OF THE PASCACK VALLEY

The Tastes of the Pascack Valley, featuring area restaurants, will be held at the Courtyard by Marriot, 100 Chestnut Ridge Road, Montvale, to benefit the Footprints in the Sand Foundation and The Montvale Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund; 5:30 to 8:30 PM. The following restaurants will be open Sunday, May 11 for Mother’s Day:

100 Steps Supper Club + Raw Bar, 215 Centennial Ave, Cranford, will be offering an early dinner for Mother’s Day from 4 until 8 PM that will feature a spring a la carte menu, fully stocked raw bar, special offerings from chef Decker, and a few more dessert dishes to end the night on a sweet note. Ama Restaurant, 1485 Ocean Ave, Sea Bright, will be serving fro 1 to 7 PM featuring a seasonally inspired special a la carte and regular menu. Reservations: 732-530-9760.

Join A Toute Heure, 232 Centennial Ave, Cranford (908-276-6600), for an a la carte Mother’s Day brunch from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Specify the name of the restaurant you want reservations in, as the same number is being used for 100 Steps Supper Club + Raw Bar; BYO.

Bib’z Restaurant and Lounge, 284 Center Ave, Westwood, will offer a brunch buffet from 11 AM to 3 PM; $40; children ages 4 to 12, $15; under 3 free. A three-course, prix-fixe dinner will be served from 4 to 7 PM; $40; a la carte children’s menu available. Reservations: 201-722-8600.

Blu, 554 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair, will be offering their regular a la carte menu on Mother’s Day starting at 3 PM.. Reservations: 973-509-2202; BYO.

Blue Morel, 2 Whippany Road, Morristown, will offer a menu of spring flavors and signature dishes from executive chef Kevin Takafuji and Culinary Director Thomas Ciszak. The three-course menu ($59; $29 for children 12 and under) features multiple choices for each course, Noon to 9 PM. Reservations: 973-451-2619.

The Brother’s Moon
, 7 W Broad St, Hopewell, will serve a pre-fixed brunch from 10 AM to 2 PM and a la carte dinner from 4 to 8 PM on Mother’s Day; BYO. Reservations: 609-333-1330.

Chakra, 144 W. State Route 4, Paramus, will serve a Mother’s Day menu on May 11 from noon to 8 PM. chef Thomas Ciszak will cook some of his favorite dishes, many of them featuring spring ingredients such as ramps, white and green asparagus, English peas and morel mushrooms. The three-course menu ($58; children’s a la carte menu available) features multiple choices for each course. Reservations: 201-556-1530.

Guest can choose from the following options on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11, to celebrate Mother’s Day at Crystal Springs Resort, 1 Wild Turkey Way, Hamburg.

Restaurant Latour will offer an elegant, three-course brunch from 11 AM to 3 PM; Petite Tasting $55 (two courses), Grand Tasting $75 (three courses).

The Emerald Ballroom will host a special Mother’s Day brunch from 10 AM to 3 PM with live music. Adults, $44; children, $22; children 4 and under are free.

Springs Bistro
will serve a four-course menu ($55, $85 with Italian wines paired from the Crystal Spring’s wine cellar). An a la carte menu will also be available. May 10th 5 to 10 PM and May 11, noon to 8 PM.

Crystal Tavern’s three-course menu ($48, $78 with wine pairing) and an a la carte menu will be offered on May 10th from 5 to 10 PM and May 11th from 11 AM to 10 PM.

Spend Mother’s Day down the Shore, where The Gables, 212 Centre St, Beach Haven, will be serving a Mother’s Day menu from 11 AM to 7 PM. Reservations: 609-492-3553.

The Grain House Restaurant and Olde Mille Inn, 225 Rt 202, Basking Ridge will offer a buffet brunch from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM; $49; $24. Dinner will be served from 11:30 AM to-5 PM; $45; children 4-11, $19. Reservations: 908-696-2335.

Grand Cru, 36 North Van Brunt St, Englewood, will serve a three-course dinner from noon to 6 PM; $45. Reservations: 201-568-3939.

A Mother’s Day brunch buffet will be offered at Haven, 2 Main St (GPS 45 River Road), Edgewater. 11 AM to 3 PM; $40; $50, includes two mimosas, two Bellinis or two Blood Mary’s. Reservations: 201-943-1900.

High Street Grill, 64 High St, Mount Holly, has two menus on Mother’s Day that include an all-you-can-eat buffet area, as well as made to order items. 10 AM to 2 PM; 1 to 3 PM; $30. Reservations: 609-265-9199.

There are three dining options at The Manor, 111 Prospect Ave, West Orange, on Mother’s Day. An four-course a la carte menu will be available for $69.95; children ages 3 to 12, $29.95, plus tax & gratuity. A Mother’s Day brunch buffet is $55.95; $19.95 for children, ages 3 to 12 plus tax & gratuity. A dinner buffet is $55.95 with children ages 3 to 12 $19.95, plus tax and gratuity. A Mother’s Day brunch will be offered at the Orange Squirrel, 412 Bloomfield Ave, Bloomfield (973-337-6421) with seatings from 11 AM to 2 PM; $35; children $30, which includes a main dish, dessert and one complimentary cocktail or beverage.

Park West Tavern, 30 Oak St, Ridgewood, will be serving a brunch buffet from 10:30 AM to 3 PM for $28, which will include a Viennese table. Children 12 or younger pay their age and complimentary champagne mimosas will be served throughout the meal. Reservations: 201-445-5400.

Red Knot Restaurant at Galloping Hill

Restaurant Nicholas, 160 Route 35 S, Middletown, will be open on Mother’s Day 2 to 8 PM offering a three-course tasting menu for $75; four-course garden menu for $75; six-course tasting menu for $95 and a children’s menu for $32.
